We are pleased to use a bespoke framer based locally in Ripon. Our Bespoke Framers have been established since 1986, providing the highest quality picture framing services to Artists, Galleries, Corporate Companies and Private Individuals.
Their business ethos is to furnish an artwork with a frame, which achieves an effect that whilst not overpowering the artwork, enhances the piece to its full potential. They fully recognise that the frame is the interface between the artwork and the artwork's environment and the results are exceptional.
At 'the gallery' we pride ourselves in using the best quality mouldings possible. From grand, hand gilded gold leaf frames to ultra contemporary alloy mouldings as well as a wide range of timber mouldings in various profiles in oak, burr walnut, cherry, wengee, ash, beech and zibrano.
Mounting artwork correctly is as important as selecting the right moulding. We use acid free, museum or conservation quality mount boards to present the artwork to the highest standards whilst being aesthetically pleasing. Thus far we have shadow mounted, used pinstripes, double and triple mounted as well as hand gilded the bevel with 35.8ct gold leaf and silver leaf.
We believe that quality framing is paramount to our high standards of service. A bad frame will ruin the finest of artwork whereas a good frame will only enhance it.
Opens: 01 April 2010
