Having studied ceramics in Taiwan, her homeland, Chiu-I has created, explored and developed her style and expression. She learnt from some great masters in Asia and has developed most of her own glaze recipes with this experience.
She has fun with new clays, new ideas and new techniques and in this country she can enjoy the benefits of gas reduction firing. Her ceramics are often unique and are all produced with a simple honesty.
