Severe Exposure to bedtime stories as a child led to an overactive imagination. The result, sheer lunacy!

I find myself preoccupied with everyday life, but not my own- that of the fairy. Consequently my sculptures place what can only be described as 'fairies' with machine-like contraptions. They depict fairies going about their everyday lives. Within my work my extraordinary objective is to realise the necessities and requirements that would be involved in 'fairy life': to provide everything a fairy would demand during its daily existence.

This central theme runs throughout my work but is incredibly versatile and can lend itself to almost any brief or situation with a bit of imagination. My sculptures evoke a sense of nostalgia, escapism and make-believe necessary to remove the viewer temporarily from their worries. I endeavor to capture every imagination!

Since graduating in 2001, I have plied all my time and energy into creating my work and have managed to gain both National and International recognition. I have mainly generated work for display in large themed/solo exhibitions, providing me with extensive experience at producing work that is of a high quality.
