In 2009 we have new work by artists including Richard Snowden, Ed Kluz, Laurie Hastings, Janine Baldwin and Chiu-I Wu and original prints by Jonny Hannah, Peter Wray RE, Alison Hardcastle, Kittie Jones, Michael Kirkman, Sarah Young and Al Heighton. We also hold a varied range of original prints by Pablo Picasso, Joan Miro, John Tenniel and William Nicholson. There are 'Brain's Fairy' sculptures by Samantha Bryan, boxes by Mark Barlow, new ranges of jewellery by Gail Klevan, Emma Turpin, Sarah Packington, Sarah McKenzie, Hazel Atkinson and Sara Withers, textiles, handbags and accessories by makers including Jane Withers, Cherchbi, Thornback & Peel, Name Clothing and Claire Austin and ceramics by Michelle Freemantle, Hannah McAndrew, Fiona Mazza, John Kershaw and Chiu-I Wu, artist-designed notebooks and cards by Angie Lewin, Mark Hearld, Jonny Hannah, Richard Bawden, Sarah Young and Cloud Cuckoo, lamps and lighting by Hannah Nunn, wonderful colouring books in the 'Rosie Flo' range by Roz Streeten, 'Pintuck' tea-towels, aprons and shoppers designed by Mary Fellows, Pearl & Earl, Huddersfield-made artists' sketchbooks by 'Pink Pig' on paper made in the Lake District, British-made pencils and artists' materials by Derwent, luxury English-made scented candles from 'True Grace' and furniture by Richard Burnley & Paul Steel.

Many of these products (and many more) are available in 'The Shop @ Newby Hall', a joint venture between Newby Hall and Daniel Hornsey and Lotte Inch of Hornseys'. This is a space devoted to modern British art, design and craftsmanship. We have placed a firm emphasis on quality and value across all price ranges and aim to develop our range of products for children that encourage creativity, such as modelling clays and materials by Newclay of Devon. Such an approach places Newby Hall at the forefront of the growing trend towards environmentally-sustainable and British-manufactured arts and crafts as well as gifts. Products will be locally-sourced wherever possible, but work by the best of modern British designers and will also be on show. Events will be held at 'The Shop' throughout the summer, stock will be constantly changing and in time this dynamic space will become a key attraction within the Newby Hall Estate as a whole.
